CAHIIM maintains a professional relationship with two associations from which it draws volunteers and student learning outcomes — American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA). CAHIIM is a freestanding, private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in the state of Illinois.
